Biography

Oliver Hui was called to the Bar in 1988 after completing law school at UBC in 1987.  He articled at Heather Sadler Jenkins in Prince George in 1988 and worked as an associate, doing everything from motor vehicle accident plaintiff cases, to impaired driving defences and debt collection.  In 1990 he joined Wilson King & Company as an associate, doing insurance defence, motor vehicle accident plaintiff, employment law and for a brief period child protection cases as well as all kinds of other litigation matters.  He was a partner at that firm from approximately 1995 to 2011 and was principal contact with ICBC for a number of years.

In addition to the practice of law, Oliver Hui was involved in a number of community agencies in Prince George, being the Chair of the Intersect Youth & Family Services Society, which provided services to youth with mental health issues and young offenders, President of the Prince George Roadrunners club, and a member of Immaculate Conception Church Parish Pastoral Council at various times.  Oliver Hui was also President of the Cariboo Bar Association for one year and President of the Prince George Bar Association for many years.  During his stay in Prince George, he did numerous trials and hearings at the Supreme Court and the Provincial Court.

In 2011 he and his family relocated to Surrey BC to be closer to relatives, and joined his old friend Jay Redmond as an associate at Campbell Redmond, doing primarily motor vehicle accident claims (for plaintiffs only), but also some estate and other litigation.  With Jay Redmond’s untimely passing in 2015, he became partner at Campbell Redmond with Ryan Kalleitner, in continued association with Clayton Campbell, who with Jay Redmond was a founding partner of Campbell Redmond.
